Presentation Title: Assessing Urban Flood Emergency Response Driven by Social Sensing Data
Yixin Jiang, a postgraduate student specializing in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems at the School of Geography, Nanjing Normal University, China. His research focuses on flood simulation and the monitoring of urban flood-prone areas using social sensing data. The study, “Evaluating the effect of urban flooding on spatial accessibility to emergency shelters based on social sensing data”, has been published in Transactions in GIS. He has received several awards, including Third Prize in the 2024 "i·search" Graduate Information Retrieval Contest, Excellence Award in the 11th "Sharing Cup" Innovation Contest, and Second Prize in the 21st Huawei Cup Graduate Mathematical Modeling Competition. Additionally, he contributed to the “2024 Flood Prevention Capability Assessment for Substations in Jiangsu Province” project and was involved in developing major functional modules for watershed delineation, flood simulation, and compound disaster modeling within the "HarzardCM" system.
