Dr. Lin Guo, Associate Professor of Environmental Science at East Texas A&M University, specializes in sustainable phytoremediation of contaminated ecosystems using wetland plants (Phragmites australis, cattails, Lemna minor) for metal sequestration. Her innovative work—enhancing metal uptake with organic acids such as citric acid—has produced over 20 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals (Journal of Environmental Quality, International Journal of Phytoremediation). She mentors students in field-based research, teaches courses like bioremediation, environmental law and phase I environmental site assessment, and her recent projects investigate Cu/Ni recovery from binary mixtures and pH-dependent metal accumulation dynamics in constructed wetlands.
